Check the volume setting on your line-in. Its sometimes set to 0

Have you tried maxing all your volume up? What sound card are you using?

I got an MSI tuner card and the sound is a bit of a curse to get working.

Plug the line-in straight into your sound-card jack.

Check the settings, half the time when you select line-in and click 'apply' then you go back to check, its set as CD player or microphone or something.

There's a volume control on the MSIPVS player that they don't mention on the instructions (see attached).

Or maybe I'm the only person dumb enough not to spot this for 2 hours.
