Reconnecting with Sky question

I've an aunt in England and I want an English Sky card! I was wondering if she cancelled her card and subscribed for another one, would she have to pay to reconnect to sky?

All she has to do is say that she wants another subscription but not one that needs to be connected to a phone.

If you want UK $ky you need a UK subscription and secondhand receiver.

Ask all you like on info and do a search around!!!

i made myself seem really stupid! I know what digitbox is, I just don't know what you mean by Digitbox ATM?

Couldn't I just you my exsisting Digibox for a UK sub card?

Yes!!!

If you have a current Irish sub cancel and say you are moving to the UK.

A little while later get a male to ring from your aunts house saying that you want a UK sub.

They will send it out.

Male voice rings up saying he wants to pair the card with the digibox.

Bingo you have a UK sub.

I think you can pay it on your Irish CC but I stand corrected.

BTW Why do you want a UK sub???

PS If male voice gets asked a question he dosn't know the answer to say he's at work and will get back to them!!!!

Why cancel?

There is no reconnection charge.

If your card is too old or lost they send a new one.

If your card works they reactivate it in a minute or two.

If you are deemed to have a valid card they won't send a new one. If you say you havn't got it any more and need a new card, then they disable the old one (won't work for ITV, C4, Five).

She needs to mysteriously aquire a second digibox (the settings screen details of yours) and insist she doesn't want a mirror sub as the phone line won't reach She then has two cards, at normal subscription price.

Only premium channels and possibly ITV2 are locked/married to box in UK (here the Irish TV is locked/married to box in addition to premium channels).
