Does anyone think formula 1 is realy just getting to be a load of cars going round in circles waiting for michael schumacher to win? I think they really need to do something to even out the teams, its getting ridiculous? What do u guys think?

Its been like that always, Prost and Senna used to drive around in front of the field. Mansell got a year in, so did Piquet. The only time it was not was when Hakkinen fought Schumi and Irvine.

It's a procession alright but I think it has also improved this year. It's a simple fact: when you've got the best driver in the best car with the best strategy then there reallt is only one outcome.

Ever since Hakkinen left its been a joke, M Schumacher benefit show.

I think the only way its going to get interesting again is when Schu retires !

many steps have been taken in recent years to improve overtaking in the races and as a result to give us more exciting races and we have seen some good manueovers this year alone. schumachers and ferrari dominance is another issue and is not to do with precession as other cards a gallantly fighting for position further back.

arguements on precession are not helped however when we have tracks like san-marino yesterday which is not a particularly over-taking track, this will then be followed up by barcelona where nearly everyone tests and can also make for quite a boring race.

i live in hope that someone will take schumacher down as world champion while he is still at the top of his game

Yeah its not that I begrudge Schumachers success but I tend to switch off and watch somerthing else after about 3 laps. And I bet Im not the only one.

But it aint schumachers fault that the sport has become a bore. He is still doing the best he can do.

I dont think even Mika H would have been competing against schumacher in the current set of cars.

I've been religiously watchin F1 since the late 70's when the beeb first started showing it and I've gotta say, I've never been as bored with the sport as I am now. Yesterday's race sucked. One interesting lap (lap 1) and then boredom incarnate for an hour and a half. I can only pray Barcelona is even moderatley more interesting than San Marino.

They need to equip the cars with 'Oil Slick' and 'Thumb Tack' buttons like the Wacky Races. Might liven it up a bit.

It's a procession in that the leader is always the same but the last race showed that from 2nd place all the way down the order is changing all the time.
If McLaren could just sort themselves out there would be some smashing battles between them and Williams, Renault and BAR. In the next few races one of those last three teams will beat Schuey, my money is on JPM.

My money is on Button. BTCC on motors tv was way better than gp. I kept flicking over, and spent most of my time watching formula renault/bmw and touring cars.

It should be split ala sports car racing into groups...only in this case the groups would be like:

    Group 1: Ferrari
    Group 2. Williams
    Group 3. BAR

    Etc :dunno:

In the 10 years or so ive been watching motorsport, F1 has always been on the bottom of the food chain for good racing - its just gotten beyond boring now. I read on the BBC pages that Max Mosley is considering smaller engines, banning auto gearboxes and power steering even!

Anything to make it more interesting would be welcome, ive also bin watching for 10 years and this is the most boring season ever. The truth is though that ferrari have so much money going into their team as well as the best driver of all time, it could be a while b4 they are knocked off their perch.

I agree with that, before this season I probably missed 7 or 8 races from the last 10 years, this season however, I'll watch the first few laps then come back for the inevitable Schumi press conference. It's a snoozefest.
