Sorry... Should have added that I have the Mem Card in a card slot on the PC, so where should I put the files I download from the net so they'll work on the phone.

    Cheers again

Just right click it and send it Via bluetooth/IR and it'll open in your inbox.

    alternatively use the PC suite...
    Tools > Install Device Software.

edit: I didn't read your second post

Get FExplorer (Freeware), and open it from there. Just try googling FExplorer.

That looks good, but how do I get this onto my phone exactly ??

When I put in my MC to the card reader in the PC, i can drag & drop pics to and from it and they appear on the phone... Is it possible to use applications in the same way ??

Where exactly do I put this (or any other application) on the MC from the PC so that it operates on the phone ??

Just put it in the base directory (or wherever you like) and then open it with Fexplorer, from wherever you installed it.

...but how exactly do I get FExplorer onto my phone in the first place ?? When I have the MC in the PC is there any particular folder I should put it into, so that when I put the MC back in my phone it will be ready for use ?? I've tried dropping it into the root directory and the other folders...

Sorry if I seem like a thick schitt...

You need to run the .sis. If you're using the pc suite you can just double click it. Normally the only place you can run it on the phone is from the inbox. with fexplorer though you can run it from anywhere.

So basically you can't use you're method to get the app onto the phone unless you use one of the normal methods to put fexplorer on first.

You have a couple of options. Use Bluetooth or IR to link up with pc suite and run it on the pc, or use Bluetooth, IR or email to get it into your inbox and run it from there.

Fexplorer is pretty small so the best option is to email it, then you can use the mmc to transfer anything else you want.

I got it sorted... (in a mad way)

I renamed the FExplorer file as a .jpg and copied it to the MMC. Then on the phone I created an email with the FExplorer.jpg file as an attachment. From the draft email I opened the attatchment and the phone recognised it as a .sis file and installed FExplorer no problem !!

So, I got it on to the phone without Bluetooth or IR !!

Cheers for the refer to FExplorer, it rocks !!
