Anyone on here thinking of it? The run and cycle distances for the Fun version are pretty short, I'm tempted to do the full one but I'm not at all sure I can handle 1km swim, need a lot of training for that.

I am doing one in Limerick of similar lenght (1,000 / 32km / 8km) the week before, so its out for me.

Am I reading that right - the entry fee is €95? I couldn't afford that price, and I'd find collecting sponsorship even more difficult than the training!

Lads, go the the triathlon ireland triathlons. (www.triathlonireland.com). They'll be cheaper, safer and better organised than the likes of westwood tri. As far as I know this is the first year that westwood are trying to do it on their own.

There's a TI one this weekend in abbotstown - the 3dtri club are running it.

I'm considering doing this despite your reservations tunney -- WW is very convenient for me. We'll see how the organisation goes :)
Cost aint a prob - it's sponsorship so I'll be doing the rounds at work and around the place.

I'll be happy just to finish the tri - the swim is my major weakness, so I'm working on that a lot at the moment.

(btw read your training journal over on one of those sites - careful of the overtraining there!).

:) Yeah if you were to read all my posts on all the different boards you could definitely come to the conclusion of overtraining.
