Keyboard not working

Friend of mine brought his keyboard into work today saying that it was not working. Its an ordinary ps2 one - we plugged it in to another pc and it worked fine. I have done a quick search on google for keyboards not working but it was not much help as most of the stuff it turned up referred to USB keyboards.

loose connection?
you can pick up usb keyboards for around 15 euro nowadays, might be quickest solution.
