Has anyone any experience with ruggedized PDAs for industrial use?

What make/model did you use and what were its good & bad points?

I am talking about items such as the TDS Recon.

    Thanks, Ian.

Symbol are the main players in this market

had a demo with a Recon at CeBIT, good expandability with the CF Slots but some Symbol models were less bulky

if budget was tight, and the features of a regular PDA would do then a rugged case such as the OtterBox might be an alternative for some

I dopped a Symbol in work yesterday and broke it. Not very rugged, screen cracked into pieces.
