Win 2k hanging

    HELP!
    I have a problem with win2k and its driving me crazy!. When i go to play any of my games about two levels in they hang my system and i have to power down and re-start. not even ctrl-alt-del will work, no mouse or keyboard--completehang up--
    My system has a 1GHZ AMD processor 256M pc133 memory and a ATI graphics card with 128M ram. It only seems to hang on games HELP! any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    hmm, try dxdiag at the command prompt. How soon is it hanging after you start a game, is it immediate or after a period of time

    check what version you are running, run the graphics checks that are there.

    if you have the latest DX and drivers, it could be a range of things:

    Bad graphics card, (overheating)
    dodgy AGP slot
    bad ram

    what is your case temp like?

    Sylver, check that you have updated drivers for your graphics card.

    This sounds like a GFX related issue.
