I have an Audigy 2 platinum ex and creative inspire 6700. Problem is, im getting a constant rumbling from the sub woofer. I just did a reinstall of win xp and seem to remember haveing a similar problem before and cant remember how/why it went away. I've disable the onboard sound from control panel. LAst time i had it disabled in the bios aswell, could this be the problem? would it be outputting system noises that are getting picked up by the audigy? It's getting pretty annoying

    Cheers

You could try downloading and installing the newest creative drivers if you haven't already. I'd try another set of speakers or headphones just to see if it's a problem with your speakers, I had a set of creative speakers that got a permanent background buzz because of a wire with a dodgy connection. Also for some reason my own audigy platinum 2 seems to get a muddy sound when the mic input is turned on.
