I have eircom i-Stream Home Plus, which is supposedly rated at 512/128. Over the past few weeks, I have noticed Uploads running at 27-28 kBps (thats bytes). This would seem to indicate an upload speed of 256 kbps. Has there been an upgrade? or am I just lucky? It's not just momentary, as whole files will upload around that speed for over an hour.

My upload stats have gone through the roof, but there is no cap on upload!

im on same package as you and did a test myself to see and im only getting around 13k/sec upload which is around 128bps.

    Downstream 416 Kbps (52.0 KB/sec) 449 Kbps (inc. overheads)
    Upstream 104 Kbps (13.0 KB/sec) 112 Kbps (inc. overheads)

    i tested here http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp

    Thanks for reply, Gonzo

Will test with ADSLGUIDE later, as don't want to interrupt an upload in progress now (at 18 kBps!). Current test shows 59kbps upload - say 8 kBps, added to the 18 I have running, is consistent with previous observations.

Wish I could get the Download to speed up as well!

Maybe the prog I'm using has a buffer or delay of some kind which counts transfers I can't see. Very strange.
