Whiskey with RedBull...I hope no-one does this, for the love of god.

Paddy's with ice. That poll is a bit confusing.

i've only recently gotten over my instant gag reflex if i so much as smell whiskey. (teenager + a whiskey drinking race = bad idea)
jd all the way, i'd rather drink whiskey as a shot than savour teh flavour

10 year Bushmills neat, no ice.

I think it's a crime to spoil any whiskey with a mixer (and yes ice is a mixer too).

I'm also very partial to 8 year Wild Turkey.

When I'm out I normally go for Black Bush (or better) and will take ordinary Bushmills otherwise. I'll put up with Jameson but I'm not a fan of either Powers or Paddy.

Also. I find JD rather inspid.

I'm rather partial to JD and coke, but find it a bit harsh to drink straight. Jameson Crested Ten is a bit of alright...

A nice drop of Red Breast or failing that a bottle of Jameson.

Talisker mixed with Talisker. Don't drink a lot of whisky to be honest (or a lot of anything)

JD is bourbon and while that is whiskey I suppose but it's not in the same league as scotch and I wouldn't even rate it. People drink JD because it's cheap and there isn't much to it.
    Bourbon: Wild Turkey
I like Laphroaig - nice peaty flavour.
Green Spot is a good Irish.

I really can't believe someone would put Red Bull in a whiskey; you might as well just pour the whiskey down the toilet.

I hate bourbons and JD etc. They've got a horrible sickly taste that clings to the back of your mouth.

My tipple would have to Bushmills 10 year, then Bushmills balck label, or just plain Bushmills, It is the finest whiskey produced in Ireland. Though Jameson special reserver ain't bad either.

As the question of a mixer, I would have it on ice, but I wouldn't leave the ice melt too much.

Sceptre- I am with you 100%. Talisker is a sublime whiskey. It is the whiskey that I am given as a birthday present or for any other occasion. I do like my Whiskeys, Brandies and Armagnacs, but I love Talisker. Glorious stuff.

I have two favorites, Middleton Very Rare (MVR) which is absolutley lovely but unfortunately will cost you about 100 quid a bottle or 6 quid a shot.
16 year old malt is nice too I think Jemmy make it...I didnt know it was special until I finished the bottle (over the period of a few weeks!) :D

...oh and I would go for both on their own, maybe water with the malt

Oban , Talisker, Laphroaig or Lagavulin (sp?) are my favourite scots single malts although also partial to a bit of Bushmills 15 year old,

with a drop of water anything else added to a whiskey destroys the taste, even ice.

I think a glass of Paddy would kill me.

My current favourite is the Bowmore (30yo) but the Talisker distiller's reserve is very close second (and less than half the price)

Jack Daniels over crushed ice for hot days (and what a surprise that one was)

Glenfiddich 18 year old for cold evenings.

Oh - yes, and on its own.

(Never with water. Lions and tigers drink that, and they're wild.)

Jack Daniels straight i hate any other whiskey:D :D:D:D:D

used to do JD & Coke, then for about a year went mental on JD & Red Bull - finally back on the old reliable Blacktooth grin (JD & coke)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,746 ✭✭✭pork99

Bushmills. Just leave the bottle with me, ah sweet oblivion :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,446 ✭✭✭✭amp

Ardbeg 17 year old single malt with Pepsi Max. Unfortunately most pubs don't stock either so I mostly have JD and coke.

I don't mean to come across as a whisky snob, but good grief!

Each to their own and all that... but rest assured I shall offer sacrifice to atone for your sacrilege and appease the malt gods.
