Dyeing white denim... whiter!?

OK I have a possible contender for the Stupidest Thread title. I really really doubt it's possible to do this but...

Is there any way to dye/colour denim which is just slightly off-white, so it becomes a brighter white? For obvious reasons it would be useful if whatever was being used didn't run too much in washing machine cycles (apart from the first one or two).

Also it's not really related but what's the best way to transfer photos and other images to T-shirts and other fabric?

Thanks and sorry if this is posted in the wrong place!

bleach is what you want, or one of the 'whiter than white' powders you see on the telly.

dont blame me if your jeans fall apart.

Don't worry, I was only planning on suing the bleach company, Levi Strauss, Saint Francis of Assisi and the National Buddhist Church of Uzbekistan. My lawyer's working on the details for the last two. :D

Nah, the thing I wasn't sure about is I don't know whether the jeans' natural colour is white or if it's some kind of foul beige, hence not too eager to splash bleach all over 'em :dunno:

Thanks for the thought though :)
