I just bought one of these - its a CD Player that plays MP3's. It works great and I am very pleased with it, but there is one small problem. I ripped a load of CD's to my hard drive but when I burn them on to CD, the CD Text does not appear correctly on the display. On the display there are 2 lines, the top being "Album Title" and the Bottom one being "Track Name".

It will usualyl display the Artist name/Album Title on the bottom, bu still only display "ALBUM TITLE" at the top, and never anything else. What I want to appear is "Artist Name" on the top, and "Track Name on the bottom".

It says somehting about ID3 Tags, what are these? Could it be something to do with the way I am ripping? I am using Audiograpper as advised in another thread and it works fine. In my car my stereo plays MP3's and i ahev never had any problem displaying the text with that...

    Can anyone offer any advice?
    Thanks.

ID3 tags are information you can append to MP3's, usually consisting of fields like artist, album, track number, track title, genre, year, comments, etc. You can manually add ID3 tags to your mp3s using Winamp or something similar, but there are more suitable alternatives out there for doing mass ID3 tags.

If you are talking about MP3 Data CDs then you are referring to ID3 tags not CD text.
CD text is information written onto Audio CDs.

If you look at tracks on the MP3 Data CD using Microsoft media player you should be able to get properties for each track. Look at this information on the PC(take a screenshot if necessary - <Alt GR><Prt Scr>) and then compare it to what you see on LCD when the MP3 Data CD is in the player and that should give you an idea of what exactly the player is reporting back to you about each specific track.
Also, the information displayed may change dependent on whether the player is stopped or playing.
