    Lads

I moved out of a house there last year, took the box and card, got them knocked off.
    Did not take the satellite

Parents have a dish and box, is this extra box and card of any use to me to pick up stations without an extra LNB??

    Thanks

There are 4 "bands" on satellite.
combinations of High / Low frequency & Vertical / Horizontal polarisation.

So if you get a F connector splitter (2 GHz / with power pass - not the for TV) and two cables then one receiver chooses the Band and the other one can then see any channel on that band. There is a loss of signal strength since you are splitting the signal - so if your reception is dodgy in bad weather this wil make it worse.
