My plan is to get up tomorrow morning, shaved and head into the city all by myself. I need something to kickstart my brain and stuff so ya, i'll meet a friend later on in the day but from say 10am-5pm i want to go do interesting and entertaining stuff in the city by myself. I'll have like 70 euro on me so money doesn't really seem to be an issue. Any suggestions for things you find entertaning and enjoyable ?

    :)

I'll check back before i leave

UGC Parnell street, Go see a movie. Go to any one of the numerous pubs. Go to Peats and go downstairs and sit there "testing" their surround sound setup. Get on the DART and go take for a fun ride. Go to a brothel.

Thats all I can think of from the top of my head. UGC is bad ass cheap, €4.50 before 12 or 1 i think. Im gonna be in collage most of the day .... so REALLY i mean im going to be in the pub in collage.

Piss in the liffey from the Promenade. It has become an irish tradition for some on most drunken nights.

Go to a sports shop, buy a baseball bat, or maybe a machete knife from somewhere, and randomly slaughter passing skangers. Not only will you pass the time, you'll be doing Dublin a great favour!

Ilac Library is beside the fountain, up a little staircases, you will be amazed to know its above the ORATORY. Would ya believe a skanger hell hole like the Ilac has an Oratory.

Often a sleeping hobo in there though. Or an auld wan to give ya grief for eating your lunch in there! I dont think God has a prob with me eating lunch in his house

Tell her it was rude of God not to offer you something to eat/drink in the first place.

Put on your mother's makeup and get your dad to drop you off at the bank of ireland. Loiter, looking "dangerous".

Go into Dunnes and have some fun.........

    1. Get 24 boxes of condoms, randomly put them in peoples trolleys when they aren't looking.

    2. Set all the alarm clocks in housewares to go off at 5 minute intervals.

    3. Make a trail of tomato juice on the floor to the bathrooms.

    4. Walk up to an employee and tell him/her in an official tone, 'Code 3 in housewares,'...and see what happens.

    5. Move a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

    6. Set up a tent in the camping department and tell other shoppers you'll only invite them in if they bring pillows from the bedding department.

    7. When a clerk asks if they can help you, begin to cry and ask 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?

    8. Look right into the security camera and use it as a mirror while you pick your nose.

    9. While handling knives in the housewares department ask the clerk if he knows where the anti-depressants are.

    10. Dart around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the theme from 'Mission Impossible'.

    11. In the auto department practice your Madonna look using different size funnels.

    12. Hide in the clothing rack and when people browse through say 'PICK ME! PICK ME!!!!!!'

    13. When an announcement comes over the loudspeaker assume the fetal position and scream 'NO! NO! It's those voices again'

    ....and last but not least,

    14. Go into a fitting room and yell real loudly ...'Hey! We're out of toilet paper in here!'.

    Go to christchurch
Go to ST.michens church, see the underground catacommbs(or however you spaell it)
Glasnevin cemetery at 2:30, main entrance, dude takes you around the graveyard explaining the history of it, tkes you into the Daniel O'Connell tower etc - very cool thing to do.

    Go to a few museums

Tis a bit of a morbid haunt but surprisingly interesting and pretty cool, especially Glasnevin and St. Michens.

Ah, I've always wondered about that. Tell me more... any particular times? admission? can you walk around freely or is it a guided thing?

Was a guided thing when i was there, which was good because the 2 dudes(1 priest) shut the big metal cellar doors when we were in them and it was pitch dark, everybody(except me of course) started screaming and all. Twas most humourous.
The crowds dont be that big, i think they average about 10 -15. It is very interesting to know/see such a place smack bang in the middle of the city.
Not sure about the times though.
