Annoying the boss

On the advice of those who know I have started this thread again in this forum. I previously had it in the work one.

Does anyone have any good stories of how to wind your boss up? My mate works in a government job which is top heavy of management. Layers of middle management which are basically not really needed. Therefore his immediate manager is not really responsible for firing or relocation of his job.
He has had enough of being messed about and decided that it is time to dish some back. If anyone has done it or heard of any good (legal!) ones I would love to hear them.

Remind your friend of the phrase "don't burn bridges"

Does he not think that he'll need a reference at some stage?

Well your friend could start annoying his boss by calling him Stela, or whenever his boss handed him somepaper, he could finger it and say something like, "oh, this feels so good", etc. Your friend could just act like a raving lunatic and see what happens...

The acting like a raving lunatic one I like. From the reference point of view, the glory of government jobs is that your immediate boss isn't expected to, therefore anything goes. In the original location of this posting there was a class one. Put an ad in Buy and Sell to sell his car for a ridiculous price and sit back and wait for the phone to start ringing. Quite liked that one. Will mention these to my friend!

Not a ridiculous price, just a good price ;)

Get a copy of his CV (or make it up) and send it in to all the recruitment agencies. Except give HIS bosses email and phone numbers as contact details.

    That ought to do it.

Spike the coffee machine with viagra. Watch the hilarity of half the office walking around, bent double.
