    Trimble oversteps the mark!

Does anyone here have any opinions on this. Personally I think Trimble should retract the remarks immediately. The attitudes of the unionists parties and the british government to this whole affair has been deporable IMO.

In the last week the British government has refused point blankly to deal with any of the attrocities it was responsible (at least partly) in Ireland during the Troubles. These incidents include the Dublin and Monaghan bombings and the murder of civilians by British forces and loyalist terrorists (contracted by British forces).

Is there any other opinions on:
    - Trimbles remarks
-the failure of the british governement to allow a public enquiry into the murder of Pat Finucane

a desperate man. Stupid stupid thing to say, particularly in light of the fact that a report is due (I thought it was yesterday) into the circumstance of the incidents and the likliehood of collusion between the security forces and the paramilitries in their deaths.

He should retract and apologise IMO, any direct qoutes available?

Also there seems to have been an unreasonable delay in publishing these reports.
