i think there were some threads on this show before, but the search string is too short

anyway, the show ended about a month ago on TG4 with a 2 hour special
quite an interesting one, many deaths and loose ends tied up
i liked how all the characters were susceptable to death, unlike other shows where you just know the main characters won't die

alongside the sopranos this show really gave me a good impression of HBO (sex and the city wasn't too bad, don't like six feet under though)
Oz was possibly better than the sopranos, in every episode there was so much going on and the storylines were possibly always excellent and left you wanting more (exception would be cyril), there have been some godawful sopranos episodes and storylines (furio and carmella? c'mon) not to mention the inconsistency (series 3 johnny sac was a reliable man then series 4 hes a backstabbing, manipulative prick)

still, i was happy to see the loose ends tied up in Oz but sadly one of the few things i actually liked on tv is over (of course i've never seen the first 4 seasons)

The Soprano's is great but it certainly has it's crap episodes. BTW are you calling Furio boring?? Do you not remember his first job busting up that brothel. Without using hyperbole I can honestly say that that scene was the best piece of television in history.

Last episode of OZ was great, so much happened. It's a pity Warden Glenn is gone, he was good. It won't be the same without Schillinger either. Just hope they dont get rid of McManus, Beecher or O'Reilly. Some of the new characters are interesting though, like that gay nightclub owner. He's crazy:ninja:

what series was this brothel thing?
i liked furio in season 2 and 3, but in 4 he was a punk, the boss' wife, wtf, so cheesy and stupid (which is pretty much what i said in my last post)

about Oz, have you ever seen a series finale that wrapped up so many plotlines and killed so many central characters?
    traditionally series finales are cliffhangers
sorry to burst your bubble :)

and they're obviously never bringing it back after that ending
it wouldn't be the same anyway, with so many characters now dead, warden, keller and schillinger
