Where's a good place to meet single people ? Just wondering what people's views are. The old pub scene can be alright, but what pubs would you recommend ?

Good question! Most people would suggest the clubs/societies route but that's a lot harder/more expensive to get involved in outside of college...

I'm sure it does work. If it didnt do you think there would be so many sites out there!! Im in a relationship at the moment but if I wasnt and I wanted to meet single people like the thread starter I would definelty try it.

there are a fair ammount of women and the beer bashes these days i wasnt at the last one as i had to work but the last one i was at there were loads of women there (not to mention the fact your already in a pub so if you dont like the beer bash then go chat up other women in the bar)

sounds interesting i might check it out sometime the problem is im really really Shy (aaaawwwW) so i doubt id have any success at it still we'll see what happens

I've tried internet dating, and have had success there. Anything/everything can work, depending on how you approach it. People are people no matter where you meet them.

You just have to walk up with a smile and yap to her

If you get a less than friendly reception when u start talking to her - she's either not interested or has a guy.

If she's nice she's either not intersted and jus being polite, has a guy and is just being a flirt or IS interested!!

If she talks to you for more than 10 minutes without awkwardly trying to go back to her friends then your in by the looks of things!
