Should I tell them...?

I have an interview tomorrow for a kitchen porter job and I am starting in college in September (it was deferred for a year). Should I tell them that I'll be starting college? I did really well in my leaving so she will probably wonder why I am going for a KP job if i don't tell her. The reason I don't want to tell her is because it has to effect my chances if I can only work for the next 6 months. What should I do?

Also, I have a shaved head, do you think that will effect my chances too?

    Thanks.

I suppose it will affect your chance of getting the KP job. She probably wants someone full time. No real need to tell her if she doesn't ask but she most likely will ask, best to be honest.

It might if she's an idiot.

the reason I asked was because I get refused from a lot of nightclubs with my hair like this but it has been like this years and I can't imagine myself with hair.

Yo, Im not sure if i would say im going for the thug look!! Not normally something who wants to hire somebody wants to hear!!!!! A joke about trying to save some money on shampoo would probably go down better.

    Good luck :)

I dont think this will matter as its not a job where you are dealing directly with the
public, so I think they will be looking more for someone whos reliable, hardworking
and uses their head (excuse the pun!!)

It might be an idea to make a joke about ur hair style or lack off but it could backfire
aswell as it might draw her attention to something she hadnt been too bothered
about before.. only you can judge if there is a need to or not.

Make sure that you are well presented going for the interview, neat and tidy, ironed
shirt, clean shaven (face I mean!!!) etc and polished shoes if its a formal interview
as this all helps in her initial impression..

you're going to be available to her for 6 months, I'd imagine the shelf life of most employees is less than that so she may be happy enough, even if you don't mention it. Also might be able to continue there when you start college as a pert time job. I don't think its that important TBH, and you aren't obliged to mention it unless you're asked.

I think that if she likes you she won't really mind that you are going to stay there only 6 months. For a KP job I don't think they will need to invest a lot of time and money in your training so I believe you can tell them with no problem and they will appreciate your honesty.
