Went to channel 999 last night to have a look for the "latest" news from Sky but backchat was gone. There are now only four screens instead of the old eight. This is dreadful news :D. No longer will we be able to read about UTV's imminent arrival on Sky for our viewers in Eire :D.

It's sad but it was bound to happen.

It was far too useful a service to last for long.

I'm considering cancelling my subscription now. I'm just not getting the service I used to get :D Mind you, i'd be happy to see TechTV or something similar to [.tv]

I used to look forward to it, yea (I am sad I know) but it’s gone now and it just won’t be the same. Ohwell.

Absolutely. Terry used to be the viewer's representative, and would ask Sky execs the awkward questions. The recent version was a waste of time - it was obvious the questions were made up:

'We've received an email from a Mr. R. Murdoch from London. He wants to know when there will be a new series of <<insert crappy American show>> on Sky One. Well, by a strange coincidence a new series of <<crappy show>> starts next week.

We also received a message from a Mr. T. Ball thanking us for burying the subtitle on/off function under several menus. As you say Mr. Ball, the setting only has to be done once, which is so much more convenient than having it on a single key which you could so easily knock by accident.'
