ARGGG! Mothers Day! Help!

The one time of the year I hate. And no, its not because I have to spend money! its because I can never think of what to get my mother!!!

Anyone out there have any ideas - want to get her something half decent, without spending more than 200 quid.
ANything she wants shes has so shes real hard to buy anything for... and a bunch of flowers again would just suck.

If you go to the trouble of finding a nice box of choclates rather than going to the shop down the road and buying the most expensive you can't go far wrong. The trick is to get something she usually wouldn't spoil herself to(I think ).

My Mam said to myself and the brother that if we get her any more CD's that she never gets a chance to listen to, she'll "beat us to death with them!"
You'd think a pro musician would like more music, but no!

Anyway, mammy's like silly things that you've put a bit of effort into - hand made cards work wonders with mine. She also loves flowers (and I despise them), so I go to her florist friend and take care of business. Get her a voucher for a full hair-doo or a beauty treatment - total indulgence that she'd never think of getting for herself.

What date is it? This Sunday?

mothers like:

flowers, chocolates, beauty treatments, weekends away, dinners (not made by them), hand made cards, solitaire (on your pc), coronation street, books and other stuff i cant think of right now.

Actually, books are a good idea - my mum reads loads! But I've no idea what she reads - I'll suss it out this weekend!

Is there anything you can get her that'd make her job easier?

e.g. My Mum's a musician - she plays piano, church organ, harp and she sings. I was thinking about a set of strings for her harp till I found out they're about £300!!! But you get the idea, ya?
