Read about this film a while back in one of the film Mags,
the main plot of the article was that could THE ROCK take the mantle of the new
action hero. As we have lost Arnie and the likes.

Anyway went to see this film, and to be be honest was smiling throughout
    the film.
    I really enjoyed it.
And the Rock is good in it.

So i think i should say it's worth a look.

Really enjoyable movie. Full of cheese, but its so much fun you don't care.

This is a case of a movie being genuinely better than the sum of its parts. Everything about this movie should scream "BAD MOVIE! RUN AWAY!", like..
    - The Rock
    - Seann William Scott
    - Christopher Walken
    - writer whose previous movie was "Major League 2"
    - cliched plot
But it somehow manages to take all of these and create an immensely entertaining movie. I can't recommend this film enough.

Quick question though - I read somewhere recently that the UK release was cut by the filmmakers to allow it to achieve a lower rating.. anyone know if the Irish release is the same?

Also.. according to the IMDB, it was going to be called "Helldorado". Best movie title I've heard all year.

Saw it as The Rundown in the States last October. Can't remember any OTT violent scenes....

Just saw it, good flick :)

What was the deal with Arnie in it though at the start saying Good luck in there or something?

Its Arnies way of "passing the torch" to rock. Appareantly, they're good friends in real life.
