I am a staunch Bohemians fan and i was sick to see James Keddy (now an absolute Bohemians legend) pictured today in a jersey which had obviously ripped off the Dublin jersey design! It happened two seasons ago when our away strip was a load of Celtic away jersey overstock. It sadly seems that there is a total lack of imagination from the Eircom League when it comes to Jerseys .... This has to stop!

For anyone interested; this is the new Bohs away ...

The reason for ths design was to try and get more Dub's involved i.e. the blue colour. Also I think there is the three castles or what ever they are on the sleeves for a bit of Dublin heritage

To be honest, O'Neills should be shot. They are terrible! I read there just a few days ago that a lot of their kits had to be sent back due to tonnes of flaws!

I think the clubs should boycott them until they improve their act. I'd love to know what they get out of it?

I think this has something to do with the fact the club are taking more part in Europe now and their is already a club called Bohemians of Prague, hence Bohemians of Dublin on the sleeve. Plus, whats the harm copying a rather attractive design?

Because a lot of people would think it was this team.

If they was a bit dim, maybe its a covert way of getting some soccer player at Croker

In case you didn't know, that pic I posted up was of Dublin City who also play soccer in the Eircom league.

The St. Pats jersey's last year were far worse. A blatant copy of the Arsenal away jersey. O'Neills are a joke when it comes to making Soccer jerseys.

I don't think it's really fair to single out Bohs alone for this marketing ploy. After all Shels have picked light blue as their away strip nearly every season for the past decade and Dublin City FC seemed to deliberatly adopt a 'Dublin GAA' style jersey for their inception. In fact I read somewhere that Dublin City FC sold more jerseys last season than ANY other club in the EL and considering their relative size this is a bit of an irregularity,

Agreed Bohs away does disturbingly similiar to Dublin GAA but they weren't the first to try this cynical cash in method.

As to O'Neills (quality aside) I think they make horrible jerseys full stop. The last time Bohs had a decent Jersey was around 1997 when Adidas were doing them and they had the same as Newcastles collarless style.

I would imagine its cheaper to adopt a current style and 'remodel' it. Can eircom league teams afford to pay O'Neills to do a completely new design??

At the end of the day there are only so many designs and colours out there. The last thing you want is a return to the strips of old with rainbows on the jerseys!!

As a Pats fan I thought the jersey was grand. So what if it doubles up. Would you rather someone wearing a Pats jersey out to an Arsenal match or the other way around. I wore the jersey to numerous European countries and no-one ever asked me if I was an Arsenal fan

I agree 100% with that. My wife bought me one recently as a present and its too tight. Couldn't have anything to do with me being a fat bástard could it? No. It must be a flaw. Damn those O'Neills.

Forget about the Dublin GAA team for a second.

When Home Farm changed their name to Dublin City they also changed their crest to the 3 castle's (even though a marketing ploy it is still now their crest). Now Boh's have the Dublin City (soccer club) crest on their sleeve and have the same colour jesey as them. I'm sure if they were to big clubs their would be quite a mixup around Europe.

Wait a minute. Do Boh's not have 3 castles on their crest aswell?
