When you are paying for stuff on ebay - is there a cheap method of transferring money thru the AIB to EU countries?

    Use Paypal?

Transferring money thru banks is expensive and seriously slow.

Paypal is by far the cheapest and fastest way to buy on ebay, and because its integrated with ebay, its too easy. Last week though, the seller of one of the items I bought didn't have paypal and preferred instead to wire the money to his bank account in Germany.

I wired €12 to his acocunt, he got it the next day and it cost me 30c in permanent tsb. I'm a permanent tsb account holder though if that made any difference to the cost, also I've no idea if that 30c is a flat fee or relative cost per total of the transfer. Pretty damn cheap though none the less.
