You should log on to www.humandeath.de on the first week of every month!

They post a new video every month - private recordings, fan stuff, Death concerts filmed for TV etc...variable quality but amazing stuff. So do your homework - coz once the videos are gone that's it! :)

I think I'll just stick with my Live In LA DVD for the moment.
At least untill I get a decent connection.

    Much appreciated though.

    Angelwhore,

have you seen the Live in Eindhoven DVD? That came out with the CD (same title) when Chuck was still battling his tumour - all proceeds go directly to his treatment (now medical expenses) fund.

    They were delicious!! :D:D

Indeed. Probably the only opportunity you'll get to see Sean Reinert work his magic until the Cynic DVD sees the light of day (if it ever does)

I must say I felt like crying when they show him in them! So not fair!! Bah!! :)

He's only on Lack Of Comprehension. The fat dude in The Philosopher is Gene Hoglan, a top class drummer who probably did better work on Symbolic (ask Jay) ;)

LOL :D yes, that fat dude is a killing machine - Symbolic will forever be one of my top 5 fave albums.

Do you know what happened to Bobby Koelble? He absolutely blows me away, killer killer work on Symbolic. Apparently he formed a rock band called Junkierush or something like that - worth googleing for - watch this space.

Yeah, the 32nd note bass drumming in the song Symbolic gets me every time... every time :D

I'm attempting to, cough, get my hands on that song now, just for the sake of it! :) May as well upset myself before I go for a good jam! :D

    May as well upset myself
    - believe me, you will succeed.

    Here's Bobby Koelble's band, Doc

    www.junkierush.com

i think the music section is down though - (our luck again, just like Cynic!)

Didnt think this warranted an entirely new thread - anyways....

as you know there's been a lot of legal wrangling regarding Control Denied's 2nd album "When Man and Machine Collide", the posthumous production and release.
It seems Jane Schuldiner gave up and posted the whole lot online!

The newsletter i read only mentioned it being posted on a "tribute" website - so worth having a look for.

No joy yet, Empty Words say it won't be put up there... ever :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,598 ✭✭✭ferdi

Turns out i was wrong :( - i read some junk somewhere and misunderstood i guess...sorry for the false alarm.

You're right, Doc, Jane Schuldiner wont release it after all - definitely not online and not in the incomplete state the album's in (which i can appreciate after all - Chuck deserves all the honour or none at all).

    Ach!

Ancient1 I don't suppose you have any live stuff from the Human tour at your disposal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,592 ✭✭✭Ancient1

    No sir, i wish i had :(

I'll ask some friends - woe to them if they have some undeclared Death footage!

All i have is about an hour of live Death (Perseverance Tour) filmed for a German TV Station.

    Dammit.

I'd give my left bollock (the smaller one, granted, but important nonetheless) to get some audio of that tour.

I remember the gig in McGonagles with such hallowed recollection that I'm thinking to myself that it can't be as good as I remember (and as good as I tell the young un's it was). I just remember them (Masvidal/Reinert/Carino) doing amazing things with the Leprosy/Spiritual Healing material, really giving it an extra kick, apart from nailing the Human stuff too. I still have the drum stick Sean Reinert gave me after the gig (almost got stabbed for it too ;) )

There's gotta be recordings of that tour somewhere (and maybe the Pestilence support set with Tony Choy playing bass too ;) )
