Sorry to disappoint you, but you are not being targetted specifically.
There are a number of highly active viruses in the wild at present that forge the from address and are sending themselves to every email address they can get from infected machines.

Solution: Make sure you have an up to date AV or that you use hosting provider that offers AV filtering.

There is a service that is free and has anti-virus, anti-spam etc.
but.... its a test system for Novell, so they regularly update server software
etc. so you may experience downtime etc.

    Its

    www.myrealbox.com

I got over 50 virus emails today from the redlof. or whatever it's called.

Sometimes you get none sometimes you get a tidal wave. But always have an Anti Virus. Even if it does pop up every single time you get a virus and the pop up window of the software interrupts your writing of an email or editing a picture 50 times. It's still worth it.

Yahoo has damn good spam/virus filtering. I don't use the paid account, but if it is as good as the free account, then that's all you need.

    It's about $20 a year, AFAIK.

I decided to go for a paid email account lately because I couldn't find a free account good enough for my needs!

    I have finally subscribed to FastMail.FM . I am a full user.

Their spam filtering (based on SpamAssasin) and virus scanning settings are very advanced: http://www.fastmail.fm/docs/faqparts/SpamSettings.htm

They also have a very active coummunity of users: http://www.emailaddresses.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?forumid=27

If you subscribe, please mention me as a referer. My username is romaing

If it's not the best email provider around, it's one of the top three!

    We use

    http://www.swishmail.com/

Doesn't block spam (we have to be careful there - don't want to lose business emails), but it does block viruses.

Business class service. Lots of bandwidth, storage space and 30 pop accounts. More expensive though.

BTW, check out popfile (http://popfile.sourceforge.net/) for spam filtering - I love it!

This Irish hosting provider offers spam and virus filtering as standard with their basic package... €80

That includes web space etc, so I think it's a good deal. (I don't work for/know them!)

Some spam irony: today, someone beside me in work received a spam mail offering a spam filter!?!
