Channel 5 is encrypted using Sky's encryption system. Therefore you need a Digibox and enabled Sky card to recieve it.

    Specifically Sky cards of type:

    1) Current model FTV card.
    2) Active UK subscription card.
    3) Cancelled UK subscription card of current type, but not "disabled" card.

All "current" cards as of 18 March 2004 are dark blue with a stylized yellow outline of a house.

No CAM for Sky exists other than embedded CAM inside Sky+ and regular sky Digibox. The Videoguard "Pod", while a almost identical CAM/Decoder, works on certain US Cable TV networks only.

Humax is simply a brand of satellite receiver.

    Your ignorance is excused :D.

Some evenings the sound channel on "five" on Telstar 11 is clear, I'm sure the picture is something unobtainable like Powervu though. "Five" was clear for a while on a feed satellite (Never on 28.2E though), but not for a while though.

I don't thing you missing much though judging by viewing figures!

If it's the soccer you are after on FIVE and if you have a motorised system, you will always get there feed on 10e or 16e with full commentary also.
