    It wasn't too long ago that a movie would be release in America and we'd have to wait months for it to be released here. The Passion of Christ was released in the US less than 3 weeks ago and it is alredy in the cinema's over here. Is there a reason for this or will it be the same with all movies?

    I think its just some movies that get released at the same time worldwide.
    Look at Matrix 2 & 3. Both released worldwide on the one day.

    It must be down to the producers/film studio i guess?!?

    Pobably due to mpgs on the intermcweb. If you know where to look you can download Starsky & Hutch already ;)

    Bang on the money. The longer a studio waits to release a movie the more people have had a chance to download it.

    PS. Starsky & Hutch is soooo last month :p

    I dont understand why movies and games arnt would wide releases.
    I also dont understand why US Tv shows ALWAYS take breaks in the middle of a season.

    It's only big name films. For instance, the 2 films showing here at the moment Uptown Girls and Something's Gotta Give were released in North America back in Sep/Oct.

    any reason why Australia and New Zealand have been watching the Jesus film for more than 3 weeks while Europe has had to wait for the cinema release :confused:

    Suppose because Gibson is from there, dunno which one. Must have given preference to his home country,
    It costs too much for studios to give every movie a world wide release. Every cinema would need its own movie reel, cost would soar for the studio. When cinemas go digital we should see more world wide releases.
