i'd say the celeron would win but why????

you better off getting an amd 2500+ if your looking for a gaming machine

if it's for games stay away from both of them and get a system based aroudn the 2500+

ow really so do u think i should stick with the duron do u think cause lets say i was to pick either duron 1.2 or a celeron 2.4 what would u pick they where ur only 2 u could pick for call of duty

Which processor would run the game better? 2.4 cel or duron 1.2 ?

A 2.4GHz Celery should be better than a 1.2GHz Duron.

It's just a strange question because very few people would pick either for a games system given a choice.

It's probably for the best considering it shared its name with a material used to make condoms. ;)

    a 1.6 duron outperforms a 2.6 celeron

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,563 ✭✭✭leeroybrown

A 1.6 Duron might be able to make up a 38% difference in clock speed compared to the 2.6 Celery but I doubt that a 1.2 Duron would be able to make up the 50% difference to the 2.4 Celery. That said if you're thinking about a Duron or Celery price is probably a major factor and durons are cheaper.

It still seems like a strange question whenever I see the thread.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Extrapolating from this would suggest that there would not be much between them, but why this silly choice? Is someone giving you either one for free, whichever one you want, or something?

It's easy to remember that the Celery is crap, but you don't always remember how abjectly crap it is ;-)
