Looks like China's decided space isn't just for the boys:
BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhuanet) -- China will recruit women astronauts for its space voyage thanks to the lobbying of the country's leading women's organization, sources said Sunday.

Gu Xiulian, president of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), Saturday told a gathering that she put forward the proposal that women should also be trained for space missions after China'smaiden manned space trip last October, and it has been accepted bythe central authorities, Beijing Youth Daily reported.

ACWF source close to Gu, also vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Chinese parliament, confirmed the report.
