    I was under the impression that all RAM worked in all machines but I am slowly discovering to my demise that this is not the case, some RAm i have wont work on the folks or the girlfriends PII, is it cos they outdated?? Cos it didnt work on my PIII either !!!

    brand name PCs Dell, Gateway usually (well they used to) have specific RAM requirements. It could be the RAM that you have is outdated or only suited for a particular mobo/pc.
