    Right here's the situation:
I'm 16 and so's this girl in school. I know people will say "you're far too young to be worrying about love at that age" or whatnot but please stick with me. We know a bit about each other. I suppose we're friends (we've known each other since 1st or 2nd year, in 4th now) but I could count the number of times we've talked properly on one hand. Now last year, just at the start of summer something hit me (whenever I saw her, I felt like I was floating about 5 feet off the ground and got butterflies in my stomach) and I realised after a bit that I was in love with her. I told her bout a week after I realised it and we were texting and the like. then I spent the rest of the summer trying to convince myself that I wasn't in love with her and that it'd never work (she's a boarder and i'm a day pupil in our school so there's a few complications there..).

All was well and I thought I had gotten over her, and I told her that it was just a crush and not love. But then when we went back to school, I saw her again etc. and it all came rushing back. And now I'm sure im in love with her. It's not lust because I don't think of her in that way. Its something about her, but I'm not sure what exactly. And she knows how I feel because I stupidly told her the second time how I felt. and I'm not sure how she feels simply because I don't think I've ever actually asked her. But I'm in the process of asking her out and it is kind of hard because whenever she's nearby or talks to me, my mind seems to go blank and i get butterflies in my stomach. Even if she looks at me. The thing is, when I do get around to asking her out, one half of me is really hoping she'll say yes but the other half isn't sure. Simply because I feel that I love her so much that if I messed it up, I don't know what I'd do. And I don't really want to risk that.

I'm not sure if I'm asking for advice or what. I think I just needed to see how this looked on paper and get some clarity.
    Thanks anyway..

Ask her out, you'll regret it for a long long time if in the interm she meets someone else. Take the risk and if things don't work out theres nothing wrong with going back to just being friends.

Sit back and dont approach her at all. Let it boil up inside you and become an obsession which ruins your entire life. Spend at least a year hanging on her every move until finally you find a new obsession. Mature up in a few years and realise that everybody went through the exact same thing as a teenager.
Or you could just ask her out!!

Go for it mate. you`ve got less to loose than you think(trust me i know from experience), if you succeed you`ll be happy and if you fail you`ll be wiser.

WTF? Just ask her out, what's the problem? Who cares if it doesn't work out. At least you'll know then. This won't be the only girl you'll "fall in love" with over the course of your life. Be a man and ask her out. If she rejects you, be a man and walk away, then find some other chick to grow obsessed about.
