Arsenal for the Champions league? Oh COME ON!

I patiently wait for the day to laugh at this thread at all the people who think Arse will win the CL. Arsenal are not going near the CL.

If I walked into ladbrokes, and asked if I could get odds on ManU not to win all the CL, FA Cup and premiership, they'd give me 0/1. And I'd be happy.

1 Arsenal [This totally hinges on the Arsenal Man United Game, If Man United win, I can see the premiership back in the runnings]
    2 Man U
    3 Chelseas
    4 Liverpool
    5 Newcastle
    6 Charlton

    18: Portsmouth
    19: Wolves
    20: Leicester

Fa Cup : Man United( I think they will want it a lot more than Arsenal will, and if Arsenal go behind I can see their players thinking, pfft we already won the premiership)

CL Real Madrid/AC Milan(Christ, how could you think that Bayern are gona win? Againist Madrid they were terrible, if they play like that in Madrid they are gona get slaughtered. As for Arsenal, I just havn't seen them go to that higher level, cept againist Inter, enough, I'd hope that I'm wrong as its always nice to see premiership teams win)

Uefa Cup: Barcelona(Oh yeah, Barca time baby :))

IMO there is only 3 teams that have a real chance of coming fourth, Liverpool, Newcastle and Birmingham. I don't believe Charlton have a chance of even getting a UEFA cup spot without Parker. If Liverpool and Birmingham both win their game in hand they will be level on points with Newcastle. I believe Birmingham will get it as they are the most consistant of the three and rarely make huge slip ups.

Here is the fixtures of the 3 clubs:

    Birmingham:
    Bolton HOME

    Liecester HOME

    Middlesbrough AWAY

    Leeds HOME

    Fulham AWAY

    Man Utd HOME

    Portsmouth AWAY

    Charlton AWAY

    Wolves HOME

    Arsenal AWAY

    Liverpool HOME

    Blackburn AWAY

    Liverpool:
    Southampton AWAY

    Portsmouth HOME

    Wolves HOME

    Leicester AWAY

    Blackburn HOME

    Arsenal AWAY

    Charlton HOME

    Fulham HOME

    Man Utd AWAY

    Middlesbrough HOME

    Birmingham AWAY

    Newcastle HOME

    Newcastle:
    Tottenham AWAY

    Charlton HOME

    Bolton AWAY

    Everton HOME

    Southampton AWAY

    Arsenal HOME

    Aston Villa AWAY

    Chelsea HOME

    Man City AWAY

    Wolves HOME

    Liverpool AWAY

Liverpool have to play both Newcastle and Birmingham aswell as United and Arsenal away. They WILL also make one or two slip ups so I can't see them getting better than 6th.

So, I feel it is between Newcastle and Birmingham for 4th spot. Birmingham will get it becuase of consistancy. Put a bet on Birmingham to come 4th on PaddyPower and you will get odds of 12/1.

    5. Newcastle
    6. Villa
    7. Charlton

    18. Leeds
    19. Portsmouth
    20. Leicester

    FA Cup - Man utd/Arsenal

CL - AC Milan / Bayern Munich

    UEFA - Liverpool

I can see Arsenal losing a match in th premiership before the end of the season, however I think following what happened last year they will be more determined than last year.

Liverpool will finish fourth because of their consistancy. THey consistantly finish the season strongly, they have done so in the last few premiership seasons. Newcastle consistantly have to many draws this season, and Birmingham don't score enough goals. Charlton and Villa are showing good form but are just not good enough. Although I think that the Villa team has more potential.

Depending on the draws I think that Utd or arsenal will win the cup, although depending on the draw I can see Sunderland in the final.

Defence will win the CL, and Milan's in second to none. Bayern are starting to play well and will be a threat. Arsenal have an outside chance, but are fragile away from home in europe(unlike Milan who are yet to concede an away goal in this years competition). real's defence is crap, utd's defence is crap(at the moment).

Following the draw I think that Liverpool's only challenge in their side of the draw is Inter. THe finalists from the other side will be one of Roma/Valencia/Barca, with Roma's superior defence winning out. Roma are unable to beat Liverpool when it counts.

TBH, as screwed up as Utd's injury & suspension list is, I'd still think Arsenal have less of a chance of winning that ECL.

    ECL: AC Milan
    EUFA Cup: Barcelona
    NSL: South Melbourne

Because I don't see any other of the teams beating Man United and Arsenal, and I have always suspected that the FA Cup Draw is rigged towards to end to ensure an uber cool final :)

The FA Cup wants to be as important as possible, they'd like to be more important than the premiership if they could. What better way to do this than to have an Arsenal vs Man United final, then whoever wins the Premiership if the other side wins the cup they will just say "Yeah well we beat you in the FA Cup" thus heighting its importance :)
