well i'm just wondering who out of the regular posters hear is heading to the boards beer on friday? i'll be in attendance with the newbies at the white horse and then on to messers, so sign up here and stuff

If we had a larger amount of ppl on Star Trek forum we could have our own beers some weekend
I supose if the Sci-fi and star trek forums both decided to have a beers it might work but would ppl go....... probley not worth it the offical board beers that come up every few months are good enough.

Heh, that's funny... I was talking to a few people at college about star trek, fancy dressing and pubs, and yes, they're all related, especially as there's apprantly a Sci-Fi-themed pub somewhere, can't remember where though

Basically, I made a quip like some dude in an SF uniform absolutley p1ssed tapping his compin, saying "Beam me up Scotty!", then falling flat on his face... That would be funny, but then again I have my moments where I can be a sad bastard, but I blame lack of sanity for it

Well i remember been told about 2 very drink stormtroopers walking down grafton ST at 6am.....

Ye so there is interest? Thats good. Mabe in a week or so after boards beers we can arrange a boards sci-fi beers

I'm mildly perplexed on the location and order of a sci fi board beers.How many wqould you reckon would come ? is food desired ? i've only ever gone to a one other msg board meet up and it was in peters pub on wicklow st. which is nice enough.Should i try and arrange it or should i leave it to an oldskool member ?

I would like the idia and i would definatley go as long as its not on when its one of my friends birthdays or something like that.

I dont know if you should orginaise it. We should talk to azezil he is a mod on the sci fi forum., i will pm him and ask him to check this topic out

A sci-fi beer, why? I don't see the point in a seperate event from mainstream boards events unless it actually had a sci-fi theme... and i'm not sure if i'd attend one of those

not necessarily a sci-fi beer but i'd won't mind going out before the next boards beer bash, as they are infrequent. the fact that there is a few regular posters on sci-fi and star trek that where interested in going just gave it the sci-fi theme. no big effort just arrange a night to go on the piss

i have a 21st on the weekend after paddys day on the friday, sat would be ok though i think, i'm free most weekends tbh unless there is another of the large amount of 21st that is going round these days
