    For: Sean

    Sleeping Prince
Yesterday we walked outside in the rain
made plans for when the sun shined
for when the earth would be yours and mine
    nowadays it always rains
and i'm alone waiting for an end to this pain

when i saw you hit the ground
    i knew I wouldn't last for long
    tried to wake you,you wouldn't wake,so stubborn
still the same, ordinary and still, mundane and my friend,
wondering why you had to leave me here alone...Please come back soon

Half of everything will never get to see
the half of you that I loved more than me
hidden inside, only available to those who tried
and those you trusted as I trusted you...

Everyone may be waiting,to see what they missed
they never knew who you were or what you felt
    they might never know...
    but it's ok,take your time

    sleep well little prince
I'll tell Hollywood you'll be there soon

    Love that line.

But what is the last line about? The Hollywood thing

The last bit is the friend that's left behind saying goodbye. The boy who died was a genius, brilliant musician and amazing at everything he did.basically the friend is saying how so few people will get to see all the sparks of the genius that the boy had, how so many people will never get to experience his life and brilliance. It's just a way for the friend to say goodbye but saying that the boy won't be forgotten, how he will pass on his memory and tell other people all the great things about him

    Thanks for the comment
    Glad you liked it :-)

very sweet, very tragic, and very nice.
Although I dont know you or who the poem is about, i get the feeling it is a very fitting tribute to his life, and it is obviously something from your heart, and not just something you wrote just because you felt you should

    Very nice indeed.

    Beautiful.

Just right to express how you feel.

    Loss, love and remembrance.

thats a really nice poem. its really open and and honest and makes u vulnerable which is a really nice thing. whenever im writing, which isnt often, i always catch myself covering up my real feelings or whatever with words. this poem just says it like it is (for want of a better expression).
