not sure where this belongs but maybe mods will move it...

bought a PC from Jaguar Computers in Dublin only last year and have had nothing but problems since... the first day i got it itg failed and i had to return it twice for them to sort it out...

since then it seems to have screwed 2 hard drives and i am forever getting blue screens... now the monitor wont cum out of standby mode...

anyway this is not a tech question, i am sick of this piece of **** and would love to get rid... wat are my rights when it cums to getting a refund at this stage???

    thanks

You bought something = It isnt working properly = you have the right to get it fixed or replaced. Get on to them and keep on to them. They sold you the hardware which they support as a retailer and they built the machine so they support your operating system at least. Dont let it drag on any longer in case it goes out of warranty.

I have enough experience with this company to know that they sell dodgy stuff.. About 1 in 3 hdd's seem to fail in the first week or two.. they may be cheap but the pain it inevitably causes isn't worth it...

Just bring it back piece by faulty piece, they should conform with enough pestering.

skywalker_208, if you have a problem with a jaguar machine you either email the company, call them or go to them in person.

I work for jaguar and as all computer manufacturers know 1 in 10 may pass the riggerous tests that are performed and still be a faulty hard drive. Its not as if we set out to give you a bad hard drive every time. We aim to give the best quality machine possible at a competitive price.

We have a very loyal costomer group who buy off of us because we are competitive and bend over backwards for them. Your taking this problem to a public board is not really the prefered method of getting a responce from a jaguar representitive.

Im sorry you have been delt a bad hand of blue screens, and as it is mentioned to you that you have a years no hassle warrenty.

Ferror, we get almost none of our hard drives back to base. And for you to say that 1 in 3 fail is unfare. Somehow i dont think you have access to our supply of hard disks and i cant say you had permission to test them. So get your facts right son.

All of our products are the same brand names as every other computer manufacturer, so for you to say we sell 'dodgy stuff' is totally unrealistic. Why would we sell you a product that will fail and cause hassle for us - thus causing more work?

skywalker, if you give geraldine a call in jaguar she will be glad to help you out with your problem. As one of the head Engineers at jaguar I myself will see to it that your problem is sorted.

    Sorry for the inconvienience.

    Mark

    Jaguar Computers.
