So my girlfriend just kicked me out of her bed :D and I'm now in an internet cafe in Temple Bar.

    I don't start work until 1.30.

What the hell can I do on a freezin day like today?! I'm thinking maybe cinema at 10.30, but can anyone think of anything else?

There is only so long I can play counter strike or hit refresh on after hours! :)

    Any suggestions?

Heh, come over to Trinity College and join me for a coffee. I don't start classes 'til 11. I know what you mean though. I generally just drink coffee and read.....lots of both. Boring, I know, but hey!!!!!
Either that or call over to my mate and play his PS2 for a while.

    HA! I'm very tempted!! :D

Still in the internet cafe. They don't sell coffee here though (bastards!!)

9.24... 4 hours to go... holy moly it's gonna be a long morning.

And I work until 10. Jebusssssssssssssss!!

Here's an idea. Go down to FOrbidden Planet on the quays and read all their cool graphic novels. Or head down to the Kylemore Cafe (or whatever its called) thats closing down soon and get some of the now-seriously-reduced buns and things and a coffee to boot. OR head to Doc Quirkeys on O-Connell street and pass some time in there. OR find an early house and squeeze in a pint or two before work. OR look for a new job.

the mans got a point though. There isn't much to do in dublin when you're trying to put in time. Well, that said, at least if it was warm he could go and chill out in Stephens Green or something, but its a real ballbreaker of a day out there. For all the people who wondered why we had such a nice winter, here's the reason, winter is late!!!!

Dublin is nice to walk around in the morning when people are rushing to work, and you don't have to.

Go into bewleys. Get a paper, a coffee and a delicious muffin.
That'll waste an hour. What are you doing in town without a walkman anyway? :)

Well, my site is a joke, simply a blog trying to be ridiculous... a parody/whatever.

But I don't own boards.ie, and it is a free service, so I have no prob removing my sig :D

Tis indeed. Don't expect anything too cool though! :)

May not be entirely work safe.

    If you're really stuck:
Go visit some of the free museums (Art/Natural history/Trinity library etc).
Relax in the warmth and comfort of the Ilac Centre Library
Feed the ducks in St. Stephens Green
Go have a look at some of the art work/paintings in the Stephen's Green shopping centre
Go visit the Waxworks (you want to be really stuck for this one)

i have to agree withthe tourist thing - i've walked around and worked in Dublin for ages - but it was not until last summer i blocked out work and the commecial aspect of dublin - walked around and realied how many beautiful places there are .....course it was 25C and calm - not -25 and gales like today!

Yeah, I generally just stroll around enjoying some of the tourist sites. It's surprising how little Dubliners actually visit these sites.

btw, does anyone know if the Hugh Lane Gallery is free in?
