New firmware released dated 16th Feb 2004

Now available on Astra@19E for OTA upgrade

Settings (Menu | Setup | Advanced | Software Upgrade )

    SAT: Astra 1E-2C 19.2E
    Freq: 12603
    SR: 22000
LNB: <depends on your installation, usually LNB1>
    LNB Pol. H
    22Khz Mode AUTO
    Download PID 1224
    Confirm NO

    Press OK

Do not interrupt. Pick a time not likely to have a power cut.

    Version:
    04.2
    16 Feb 2004
    FENEV
    Size: 1638400

    What it does:
    * Seems to run menus a bit faster
    * Pressing "exit" no-longer brings up sleep timer
    * On "Browse" the text keys (pressing number twice) jump to that part of list if sorted Alpha-numerically
    * In "menu|Setup|Channels" a new (3rd) menu item, "Organise Favorites" Lets you rearrange the order of the 4 TV and 4 Radio favorites lists.
    * Some other minor cosmetic changes to menus
    * Some changes to Teletext operation (seems more reliable)
    * Possibly some changes to "i" button and EPG operation

What it doesn't seem to do:
    * It does not erase or mess up an existing list of stored channels (Factory Reset, Box Reset do erase all channels).
    * It doesn't seem to add any Satellites or Transponders. www.lyngsat.com for up-to-date transponder lists.

If you have a fixed dish with one LNB not pointed at Astra @19E, then you can't download it.

PM me if you haven't access to Astra@19E (i.e. BBC FTA Sky @28E fixed dish).
