UN resolutions ( a mockery )

Pre-war one of America and Britans biggest arguments for going to war was because of Iraq not complying with UN resolutions . For those of you don't know the first UN resolution was for the destruction of all nuclear weapons. I think this whole idea of UN resolutions becomes a mockery when we can pick and choose which ones we want to comply with. Israel, a country who America has supported for years has broken countless resolutions , but we don't see Bush jumping in there. I just think this further highlights bush's hypocrassy and shows why this was such an unjust and illegal war driven by greed and evil!

this is something that has always bugged me...Why has no one ever directly asked him this. Cause i've seen some press conferences he has held and everyone seems so nice. (Compared to tony blair being chewed up by the press in england). Why hasnt anyone simply said. "Mr President how can you justify all out war on one country who has broken Un resolutions yet ignore the very same broken resolutions in another country"

we are too nice to him. Wish we got some reporters with balls...

because there would be ss goons round their houses in about 2 mins.

actualy I bet people do ask but are edited out of the news feeds and they are never let back in to a whitehouse press confrence.

that should probably read invited back, not let back.

I remember seeing a show about this before, apparently the reporters allowed into the White House are hand picked as reporters that are unlikely to challenge Bush. And those that don't agree with him rely too much on a Bush fanbase (so to speak), to stand up and question him outright could lose them their jobs, apparently.

Before an inteview with someone in a position of power, the reporter/interviewer will be given a list of certain things are not to be mentioned.

For Bush, it's probobly Oil, Israel and Pretzels.

not to mind the fact that by going to war against a country without receiving a UN mandate they are surely in breach of resolutions themselves?

The news service in the US is one of the most heavily censored in the world on par with communist states. If you've ever read the book 1984 you'll have a pretty good idea of how things are going over there. God help the fykers, I hope they get that evil bastid out of office cos if they don't we're all movin to Shyt Creek.

Don't forget, Bertie Ahern aided that illegal invasion by allowing US military vehicles to land at Shannon airport, making a mockery of your and my constitution. Let's not forget the devils on our own island too.
