I was on i-stream solo. I've checked my dsl stats it shows now 12GB download cap. Does this means I am upgraded to the 1MB line?

Just check your modem/router for the line stats. It will read either 512k or 1024k. :)

    linux-2.6.3.tar.bz2: 32.68 MB 206.13 kB/s

Anyone know the contention ratio for the 1mb line?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 651 ✭✭✭sirlinux

Maxing out at 206KB/sec here just got moved from 1024 to 2048, it's pretty good.

RO you d/l something out of the cache on a server? we used to get such high speeds in college

The connection above is from work and no it wasn't in the cache :)

Usually get between 50-80Mb/s to Irish sites and 10-20Mb/s to international ones.

My DSL was upgraded to 2Mb too.
