I bought an item on Ebay and it was posted to me on Monday but I still haven't received it. Should I have received it by now? If so, what could be delaying it?

    Cheers.

depends what way it was shipped, if the seller shipped it when they said they did (they can be lazy sometimes), etc

but i wouldn't worry about it yet

It depends on what u bought and what size the item is! If its a large item i would say i could take a week. If its a small item then u probably should have got it by now! The item should b flown by plane, if its being shipped, then u got a problem! It could take a while! B patient! If u dont get it by monday next, i would suggest u start complaining!

you should try and get a tracking number off the seller also, they can prove helpful

I would genuinely be surprised if you had received your item before the minimum 5-7 working days have elapsed. As someone who regularly purchases online from all over the globe.

It has become very clear that even receiving (Parcels & Heavier goods) from the UK, is now taking longer than ever before. I personally blame An-Post and their strange relationship with 'White Arrow'.

I am now getting used to goods being returned to the sender as undeliverable, without due cause, and waiting up to one Month for items that a year ago I would have received in 5-7 working days.

The Parcel Post and Courier services in Ireland are falling apart, and no one appears too give a damn. Time for a government enquiry imho  .

i've noticed that too from the UK, you'd swear they were on another planet, the time it takes, i also have had stuff returned when there was always people in my house to take a delivery!

I still have not received the item so I e-mailed him yesterday asking for the tracking number. I used outlook express and I accidently sent him the e-mail from the family address and I got this reply:

    Dear Theresa (My mother ),

Could you be so kind to send to (The family address which I sent the e-mail from is here)@utvinternet.com his tracking number.

eirebhoy in the list of 17.02.2004

    Many thanks !

    Stephane

I have e-mailed him again from my e-mail address and am still waiting his reply.

Can you make any sense of that email?

    Cheers.

I got a reply saying I never asked for it to be recorded so he has no tracking number. I payed him GB6 for shipping and it is only a small MMC reader. What should I do?

wait, if you havent recieved it by Tuesday, then get back to him. Im waiting a week on money to transfer to a bank account in england. I paid 20 euro comission, so i expected decent bloody service. These things take time unfortunately.

This has happend to me three times this year already, I was getting thick with the distributor in england, looks like i need to vent some spleen on my local postman
