Good news is that, allegedly, we're getting all of Twin Peaks on DVD this year :)

I have "The Straight Story", "Mulholland Drive", and "Eraserhead" on DVD. I'd have got "Blue Velvet" but apparently the R2 transfer is awful.

Pity - Blue Velvet is probably my favorite.

The thing about David Lynch is that, personally speaking anyway, his films are perfectly enjoyable even if you can't make sense of them.

Intriguing may be the best way to describe his work.

The Elephant Man is probably my favorite Lynch movie.
A more 'Straight' story than his usual mind-bending, but it's utterly fantastic.

    Brilliant cast altogether.

He's made good films (Lost Highway, Wild at Heart, The Straight Story) and he's made **** films (Mulholland Drive and Eraserhead). I'd go to see anything he makes, because good or ****, it'll at least be interesting.

Yeah, I'm still not sure what happened in Lost Highway, but I found it curiously entertaining and funny in places.
Mullholland Drive was even more confusing in terms of the 'big picture', but was at least tense and spooky with generous doses of nudity ;) It kind of melted my brain for a few hours afterwards trying to piece it together.
I've heard (in the cast interviews I think) that these films are pretty much what you want them to be... interpret them as you like - and that's the right answer... yet on the inside cover of Mullholland Drive, they give you clues... adds to the confusion IMO. :dunno:
