I know people must be sick of threads like "What's this tune" or "What's the song from the <<insert product here>> ad.

But here's my request! A few years ago, (maybe four or five) I was listening to Today FM in the evening (Roughly the same time slot that's occupied by Tom Dunne at the moment.) A song came on that I really liked and havent heard since.

I don't know a hell of a lot about the song except:

    - It sounded like a male singer with a Scottish accent.
    - It wasn't so much a song as a spoken word thingy.
    - It sounded not quite like a poem, just him speaking along to a tune in the background.
    - I think the basic idea was a boy and girl walking along, the two of them in love, came walking to a lamp-post(?) and didn't let go of each others hands. Some phrase is repeated at various points throughout.

Chances are that no-body has a clue what I'm on about and I'm gonna get no replies. And yes, I have used Google, but to no avail. I haven't a lot of information to go on, that's why I'm asking here.

But, if anyone knows who sings it, the name of the song or any bit of information then please let me know! Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks ogy! I'll give it a go. I had a funny feeling it might be Belle And Sebastian. Prolly 'cos they're the first Scottish band that sprang to mind (after The Proclaimers :p) I'll keep searching.

    Cheers bud :)
