Hey just made the very bold move from windows and bought a new ibook G4, my best buy yet. I love mac. One problem though, how do i get a password control device on it. What i mean is a login password? i'm in college an lots of people in res "borrow" it to watch movies etc., and it always seems to be missin when i need it!! thought if there was a password system similar to XP it would keep them away

    Thanks

    Vip

You can make the machine ask for a password at login...

System Preferences > Accounts > Password...

    etc etc

Or you could type command-? in the finder which will bring up Mac Help, which probably has all the answers you need.

Also, within the preferences for the login window you might want to disable the list of available accounts, never give anything away ;)

And of course, make sure automatic logins are disabled too.
