Hahahahaha, sorry but that has to be one of the stupidest questions I've seen on boards. Somebody posts a map of Muff, and you ask where it is? Fair enough it's a small map, but I thought the "CITY OF DERRY AIRPORT" would have given it away...

I have a friend from Muff, and they actually did have a diving club for about 2 weeks, rented equipment and all, just you they could say they were members/president/secratary of the Muff Diving club.

And on the subject of funny town names

Indeed. I remember walking out of an airport in Italy once only to be faced with a 4 metre high, red illuminated sign bearing the word

    SMEG

I laughed for about a minute.

See, you didn't even find that funny :p

It's funny, but there must be something about Inishowen, i'm from a little area called Cockhill just outside Buncrana, and you can also travel down through a place called Grainne's Gap into Muff and when you open the Inish Times to read what the Muff Beaver Scouts have been up to in the Muff notes section of the paper all becomes clear. What a wonderful place we live in :)

    oo-er

And I regret to this day the David and Victoria Beckham didn't spend a night of passion in Horse and Jockey, and name their resulting offspring accordingly!

I live just a short way from there. I never miss the "Muff Festival" every summer.

Just kidding. Though I do live near there - I go to college in Derry. I've often seen tourists standing outside the large sign to the town, getting their pictures taken, and of course laughing like hell....

    The poor Muffians

I work with a guy from Muff and he has a t-shrt for the famous "Muff diving school" that some german bloke opened a few years ago.
Sadly it's not going anymore, so can't get the t-shirt anymore.

They do have a diving weekend every year around the end of may...Pure Class :p !

Co-incidentally my girlfriend is from Nobber !

The "Muff Car Wash" was on Graham Norton's show a couple of years ago. It was the Muff in Donegal too, cause I've seen it plenty of times myself, though having grown up near it, I never thought it anyway funny til I saw it on tv!
