The west won 136-132,Shaq being named M.V.P. with 24 points and 11 rebounds

Good entertaining game with 44 dunks in all

    Meh, it wasn't great.
It was lacking the razz-ma-tazz that the All Star game should be all about. I think this was made blatantly apparent with one defining moment - Kobe was released after a steal, went up court and layed it up. The crowd booed and I nearly switched it off. I remember the days when he would have probably thrown the ball around his back to himself and gone up and windmill dunked the ball. The All Star game is losing its spark.
Vince Carter is another one who has toned down his play. Jesus, I remember his savage dunks when he won the slam dunk contest a few years ago (4 years now I think, God time flies). He's become a pussy tbh.

KG and Shaq played like it was an All Star game, they were there to show boat and show boat they did. Shaq a worthy MVP although had the East won Jason Kidd was a shoe in for it. He was rock solid.

Oh and Yao Ming should not be starting ahead of Shaq. If it wasn't for half of China voting he wouldn't have either. But the whole voting thing is stupid ie. Vince Carter being no1 purely because all the Canadians vote for him due to the Raptors being the only Canadian franchise.

Very happy to see Sammy Cassel finally get a call up to the All Star game after so long in the league. He's a quality player. Would have liked to see Spree in there too and Stephon Marbury. And well Gary Payton too.

It was a decent enough game in the end, turnovers galore as you come to expect but fundamentally a good game. It's just not what it used to be. Lebron James might have been good in it. Rookies always bring a real spark to it, they're all about flare and show-boating.

Ah I dunno, 2 of my favourite players (Carter and Bryant) didn't bring the flare I wanted and 2 of my other favs weren't there (Sprewell and Marbury). Iverson was good to watch aswell now that I think about it.

Anyway, the West won so I'm happy. 4 out of the last 5 now lets hope it continues that way.

How can you say there was no razz-ma-tazz when there was forty four dunks with many being alley-oop's or lobbed passes.Did you ever think Kobe might not have wanted to go to hard as he's only back from injury and hitting a rim hard with his hand could have re-opened the cut on his finger that prevented him from playing.Carter did'nt get enough minutes to shne but when he was on the floor he lit the place up with dunks and long jumpers.

Kevin Garnett did'nt put in as good a performance last night as he could have.Did'nt play many minutes and when on the floor was'nt very effective.Shaq deserved M.V.P. as he was there for a laugh and was making it fun.what about his run up the court in the first half with the kick's and spins it had everything that you could expect from a center. Then in the second he stole the ball broke by T-Mac at half way and Kidd and A.I. just moved out of his way.Obviously he was going to get M.V.P. as he was the highest scoring player.

Bryant was bringing flare its's just the people around him were'nt aware of some of the passes he was dishing to them

44 dunks bah. Most of them were shite.
Watch some of the old All Star games and you'll see flare. Kobe didn't want to go hard because he's turned into a little bitch, with an ego bigger than the whole NBA put together.

    What's to explain?
He puts himself ahead of the Lakers.
He has no respect for Phil Jackson.
He is constantly having fall outs with Shaq because he feels he should be the no1 player in LA.

    His ego is vastly overblown.

No he does'nt he play's his heart out for the Laker's

Kobe doesnt get on with Phil Jackson

Shaq does'nt get on with Phil Jackson

Phil does'nt get on with Kobe and Shaq.

Not true about the fall outs just because he wants to be number one.The two of them are always at each other off the court.

Ohh yeehhh his ego is huge,no other to him when he's up for rape:rolleyes:
