Mine was last minute, so I booked the top floor of Doyle's for €50. I chose the smaller section because I was expecting about 50 people and reckoned it'd hold them nicely without feeling empty. I think we paid another €40 or so for some platters of food. Music was through a few CDRs that I threw together and popped into their CD changer and put on random. Was exactly what I wanted.

My 21st is in april... was going to organise something, but then relised that people probably wouldn't turn up so I'm having it in a pub instead.... loads of my mates in which ever pub getting pissed.

My 21st is next month and like that I'm just heading out to the pub, letting everyone know where it is and whoever turns turns, turns up and whoever doesn't doesn't.

Might try to reserve a couple of tables or whatever, but I figure the less hassle and effort the better the night. Just out in the pub with your mates and drink for the night.

    Best way to be!

My sister is 21 in April.

Shes having a fancy dress party, where everyone has to dress as their favourite character from the movies. Shes doing Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys.
Having it in the parents house.... A big open plan bottom floor means space for mingling, dancing and general craic. A DJ in the back garden (weather permitting - otherwise itll be indoors) on the decking. There will be a 'paparazzi' of sorts at the front door, 'Oscars' for the Costumes, a film projector in the back garden projecting old movies onto the wall, red carpets everywhere, stars set into the footpath etc....
    Great fun!

I just dont know what movie character to dress as....

    Im a boring bastard amn't I?

I have no ambition whatsoever to have a 21'st. I dont like going out to get pissed so i wont. I have no problem going to other peoples parties. There cool. but for me, it just feels so weird so i usually ****off to another country for the period and then come back and people ask me what age i am, and i tell them...and they go "did you not have a party?" and ill say "no i was away...". Works like a charm and is exactly what i want. Maybe im just shy when it comes to these things...either way...**** it. I am what i am.

EDIT: I dont like going out to get pissed FOR MY BIRTHDAY. I like getting pissed of course...:)
