    Hi,

Running RedHat 7.3 on a box and at the moment and I reckon its pretty tight, but when the ssh port is scanned it reports the ssh version. Any way to stop this or have it report a false version? Thanks.

why do you want to hide it?

would you not rather show them you're running an upto date version?
    "now feck off"

instead of making them curious and looking into further...

You can limit it somewhat (by editing source), but the protocol needs
the version string, so you can't change it without breaking
    compatibility.

I guess you have a point there. Just wanted to give **** all away really, curiosity might be dangerous, but hard work is often quite a deterrent :-)

    Cheers TeRmInAlCrAzY as well.
