    Are there still any bookstores in Dublin City Centre that buy second hand books? Was in Chapters for the first time in ages and they said they stopped buying them :eek:

    So am just wondering does anyone know of any other bookstores that do buy 2nd hand books?

    Sadly, second hand bookstores seem to be a dying breed. What a pity, as they used too be a haven of peace and tranquility from this mad bustling world.

    However, I notice that you can sell your second hand books online at; www.amazon.co.uk

    P. :ninja:

    What?! Why they doing that? Is it 'coz we're all so filthy rich we're only buying platinum laminated editions of books?!

    Well, for a few years there we were throwing money around. Now that the Celtic Tiger is biting it's ass, maybe things might pick up second-hand wise

    But Chapters were buying during the time the Celtic Tigers was roaring it's throat out, so why stop now? Sucks tbh.

    taney book shop in dundrum still, as far as i know, accepts 2nd hand books;
    the secret book and record store on wicklow street takes them too i think.
    you also might want to consider the oxfam book shop on parliament street, or indeed any oxfam shop- they're always grateful for book donations, as are any charity shops.

    Downstairs in chapters on Middle Abbey St not still there?

    You could always try Dandelion books on Aungier St, or George's St Arcade.
